The Denver Broncos pay tribute to a beloved hero
On Tuesday, the Broncos announced the induction of five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Demaryius Thomas into the team's Hall of Fame. The late Super Bowl 50 champion thus becomes the 38th Broncos' revered great player.
Thomas, who wore the No. 88 nfl jersey, received the honor in his first year of Pro Bowl eligibility. He shone throughout his Broncos career, catching 724 passes for 9,763 total yards and 63 touchdowns in his career. His 9,055 receiving yards are second only to Rod Smith in team history.
Heartbreakingly, Thomas's impressive record came to an abrupt end when he died of illness in 2021 at the age of 33. Now, the Broncos are ensuring that he will always be remembered by fans by adding him to the Hall of Fame.
