NFL MVP and Player of the Year to Wear Uniform Shield Badges
Josh Allen is the recipient of the 2024 NFL Honors Award, a recognition that fans will see in every game he plays during the 2025 season, thanks to the gold shield emblem on his nfl jersey.
The NFL will reportedly honor league MVP and Player of the Year players with gold shield emblems for the first time. The design of the gold emblem is inspired by the NFL's honors logo. Josh Allen, wearing a Buffalo Bills jerseys, is one of the lucky recipients.In addition, Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley, Broncos CB Surtain II, Orioles QB Jayden Daniels, and Rams LB Jared Verse will also wear this honor badge as they are the Player of the Year.
Notably, the gold shield will appear on the jersey collar, replacing the traditional NFL shield. Furthermore, in keeping with NFL tradition, team captains will continue to wear the "C" badge, while the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner will wear a dedicated badge for life.
